Again, coming out of the movies (yep, same theater – AMC River East) we found another entry.
As we were leaving the film (Inglorious Basterds) a woman was walking out with us. She turned around and said loudly to her boyfriend (I assume): “Yea, he kicked me with his sock! I felt his sock up on the back of my head!”
On the way to the movies Friday night, we saw a large crowd gathering on the
street – across from Volare. Not sure why the crowd was there, we stuck
around and saw a friend who told us. It was a company party for the video production company Optimus.
Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and the 80′s “hearthrob” (yes, that is in quotes for a reason – to imply doubt) Fabio were going to sing a duet.
Then the garage door opened up. All I could get was the picture to the right.
Luckily there was some folks in the audience who recorded video and uploaded the files to YouTube. What’s striking is the difference between the two videos. In the first video- you can hear the crowd less and can hear mainly Blago. My favorite part, in the beginning, Blago said “I’m gonna sing a song because you can’t vote against me anymore.”
In the second video – you can hear Blago less and hear the crowd jeering at the disgraced politicitian. My favorite part, toward the end someone yells, “YOU’RE GOING TO JAIL BUDDY!”
The great part about these videos is that you can truly see how immensely awkward Blago is, that he is poor at ad libbing, and is all around a clueless guy. Thankfully, he’s a better Elvis impersonator than he is a politician.
On Friday, we went to see the movie Julie & Julia. It was great.
Before the movie, Marc went into the bathroom and stood next to a man at the urinal. While the man was making full use of the urinal, holding his junk with his right hand, he was making full use of his left hand holding his bag of popcorn. He would then move the bag of popcorn close to his mouth, shove his face into the mound of kernnels, and proceed to vaccum suck the morsels into his mouth.
